Frontline broadcast by PBS/IPTV will cover a group of students from West Philadelphia High School as they build a super-hybrid car to compete in an international competition which could earn them a $10 million dollar prize! The challenge they face is to create an affordable car with 100mpg estimated fuel economy. These high school students will be pitted against multi-million dollar corporations, university engineering programs, and internationally recognized scientists. West Philly High will be the competition underdog.

The only high school team to dream big enough to join the Progressive X series challenge, and they made it to the sem-finals. What an accomplishment. This team truly took part in something that will shape the future of transportation for all of us, and made great innovative leaps. Stay tuned for more to come about this great group of young people.
