While attending National Summer Transportation Institute, or NSTI, we have visited and learned about the different kinds of transportation. NSTI takes placed at the University Of Vermont for 2 week and you must be in high school. Before attending NSTI, I did not realize how many jobs were in transportation and how much time, energy, and money goes into maintaining transportation systems. I was impressed with how much VTrans does on the interstates of Vermont. They make all the signs, maintain the roads, and do other various jobs that concern the interstates. I was glad to have the opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes of making sure the interstates are in good order!

Seeing all the things the people of VTrans was really interesting! I wonder how things are done in other states. In my state, we have a public works in each town, but they do pretty similar things.
